Selling advertising space on your personalized pages to sponsors is one of the most popular ways to fund the mailing of Answer and Respuesta. Although businesses sponsor these spaces most often, men’s & women’s ministry groups, Sunday school classes, evangelism teams, or individual donors can also sponsor the mailing.
How does sponsorship work?
Some churches may choose to find individuals or businesses that would be willing to sponsor the cost of mailing Answer or Respuesta in return for advertising space in the publication. This alternative method of funding has helped many churches afford this ministry where general budget funds are limited.
Where can sponsor ads be printed?
An ad for a sponsor may be placed on the church’s center spread, back cover, or both.
Who can put sponsor ads in Answer & Respuesta?
Anyone can sponsor Answer or Respuesta with three exceptions: insurance agencies, travel agencies, and financial planners. Strict postal regulations governing non-profit mailings prohibit these types of businesses from qualifying for non-profit rates.
How many sponsors can we use?
Your church can enlist up to 20 sponsors per issue.
Can sponsors change every issue?
We do not encourage changing sponsors every issue. We recommend determining the annual mailing cost and dividing among the number of sponsors your church thinks may be willing to participate in this evangelistic ministry. All ads should be sold for the duration of your subscription and all money collected in advance. The layout of the page can change for a small fee of $15 for each new sponsor.
Does Promise Network determine sponsorship rates?
No. The church determines the rate of sponsorship for itself. Most churches determine the cost of the annual contract and divide the rate evenly among the number of sponsor ads sold. The church is responsible for both selling and collecting the sponsorships.
Are sponsors’ contributions tax exempt?
Yes, as with any contribution to a church, the sponsor’s donation qualifies as tax exempt, so long as the payment is made directly to the church.
